Astral Projection in Insidious

There are very few astral travel films. Insidious is a stand-alone film about astral projection. What type of astral travel film do you want to see in the near future?

Insidious sparked a huge astral projection fan following. Many web surfers are searching for astral projection, astral travel, astral worlds, metaphysics, and metaphysical content. Out-of-body-experiences are common techniques employed in films such as in A Nightmare on Elm Street astral horror movies and even in Matrix films.

12 Monkeys captures the essence of astral time travel. Bruce Willis is sent back into time to investigate the person responsible for releasing a killer virus that wipes out 99% of the world's population. While Bruce's character never physically leaves the physical world, his astral form transcends the element of astral time travel to operate in a past world which the virus already destroyed. Astral time travel is essentially another form of astral travel.

Source Code also uses the same concept, but instead mind projection astral projects the Jake's character into the mind of another deceased train passenger. Source code shows that one person is capable of changing physical events through influencing astral worlds. Astral time travel and astral projection/mind projection are interesting concepts.

In a way, Sucker Punch conveys the depiction of astral worlds through the mind of Emily Browning's character. Whereas, Emily never physically leaves the asylum, her mind is able to escape the horrors of physical reality through astral projecting into the astral worlds. In the various astral worlds, she defeats evil forces to deliver her plan to fruition. Sucker Punch explores astral projection and the astral worlds.

The 2011 Box Office is moving toward the metaphysics and astral concepts. I find astral travel/astral projection films to be rather interesting. What type of astral films would you like? Thanks for reading. .
