What is an Out-of-Body-Experience?

An out-of-body-experience is also known as OOBE or OBE. Astral projection is a process in which an astral body separates from the physical body. An out-of-body-experience is a form of astral travel.

An OOBE or OBE enables a personal to travel freely in the astral plane or astral world. It is believed the astral body occupies the physical body as a lifeforce. Once a person dies, the lifeforce is said to leave the physical body through the middle of the forehead.

The two Hollywood movies to have used out-of-body-experiences extremely well are the current astral horror movie Insidious and the popular 1980's A Nightmare on Elm Street horror movies. Ashton Kutcher's Butterfly Effect movie also depicts an out-of-body-experience. Astral projection and an out-of-body-experience have an ancient history behind their practices.

A person who knowingly engages in astral projection usually knows they're temporarily leaving their physical body. From what I've read on astral projection, there is no danger in leaving the physical body.

Nevertheless, some Christians believe a physical body can be possessed once the astral body detaches. Any person can be possessed at any moment in time without warning. An out-of-body-experience can also occur in dreams, also known as lucid dreams. Once a person questions the reality of a dream, they can control the dream world like the movie Inception.

Astral projection and out-of-body-experience both require leaving the physical body through the astral body to astral project into the astral world. Thanks for reading.
