Wes Craven's Shocker is about a serial killer who is sent to the electric chair to die. In exchange for his soul, the devil makes it possible for the serial killer to return back as a energy form to possess humans. The Shocker is a classic astral horror movie that conveys an astral being traveling in the physical world. I remember watching The Shocker in 1989. While Craven's The Shocker seemed daunting at the time, the astral horror concept was rather clever.

The main character is a high school kid who has astral dreams about a serial killer. His vivid dreams about the serial killer murdering various people within the town allow the police to apprehend the culprit. Once the serial killer is put to death for his gruesome crimes, his predetermined deal with the devil enables him to travel through the physical world as an energy form.

The Shocker paves the way for Fallen, which is another film that employs the astral body jump concept. A serial killer who has the ability to possess any physical body holds the most evil power imaginable in the physical world. An astral being that possesses human beings can carry out the devil's evil deeds.

The Shocker is an astral horror classic from the late 80's. Watch the movie to analyze metaphysics and astral horror content. Shocker is essentially an astral travel movie which uses electricity to astral project the main protagonist and antagonist. The astral worlds within the energy world convey astral projection in motion. Thanks for reading.
