Astral Projection in X-Men movie

A few nights ago I watched the classic X-Men movie. In the movie, Professor Xavier attached a device to his head, enabling him to astral travel into the physical world. In this brief instance, Professor X astral travels to find the whereabouts of Rogue. Moreover, the astral projection technique determined the effect Magneto had on the Senator's condition.

For the most part, astral projection is when a person leaves their the physical body to travel into the physical world or in the astral worlds. In X-Men, Professor X astral projects to find Rogue's location and to explore the cause of the Senator's mutant transformation.

It is common that during intense moments of stress, some people can astral project to a physical location to witness live events as they occur in real time. Professor X relied on a device to astral travel. Mind projection and astral projection are similar techniques that empower the mind to move about the physical world.

You will notice that many past movies use astral projection as a secondary plot device to send a character into the dream world. Professor X's character conveys a perfect example of astral projection in action within the mind space. Insidious and A Nightmare on Elm Street films employ astral projection as an out-of-body-experience to astral travel into either the dream world or the astral world.

Watch X-Men; pay close attention to Professor X's mind machine to witness astral projection in action.
