12 Monkeys and Astral Time Travel

In 12 Monkeys, several committee members send Bruce Willis back to the past to investigate the source of the virus which wiped away 99% of the Earth's population. There's an assumption Brad Pitt's character is responsible for manufacturing the virus as part of a hate movement.

We learn that Bruce Willis continues to have recurring astral predictions of a man in the future. This man is killed in an airport. What he doesn't realize is this man is his own self. Bruce Willis is sent back to various moments of the past to investigate the source of the virus. Who is responsible for the end of the world?

A top researcher working for Brad Pitt's father stole the virus from a research facility. He releases the virus in the major airports across the world. Most air travelers are likely to spread the virus quicker through airports than any other location. Bruce Willis enter astral time travel to find answers instead of potentially changing the fate of the future.

12 Monkeys is like the Source Code. The main characters connect with subjects in the astral world. They both meet beautiful women. The characters must travel to the past gather intelligence, and report their findings to another team or committee. Astral projection is also employed as a technique to astral project Bruce Willis into the past.

Rent 12 Monkeys. Pay close attention to the astral time travel techniques used in the film. Thanks for reading.
