What is Lucid Dreaming?

Inception generated attention to lucid dreaming. Meanwhile, Insidious projected astral projection on the silver screen. In the past few years, Hollywood revisited horror movies that once entertained moviegoers. Lucid dreaming and astral projection are essentially identical processes. What is lucid dreaming?

Lucid dreaming conveys dream projections in the dreaming world. A dreamer is capable of controlling the dream world within the dreaming state. They can identify their dream as a figment of their imagination, which then makes it possible for them to manipulate the surrounding events. It is at this moment a dreamer makes the determination between what is reality and what is fantasy.

Inception depicted lucid dreaming in action. The movie portrayed dream projections, casting images of a dream in real-time. A dreamer learns to lead their dreams instead of following as a passive dreamer. Lucid dreaming is familiar with the out of body experience (OBE) and astral projection.

You are probably wondering how to do lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming techniques first begin with identifying objects and events in a particular dream. Once a lucid dreamer focuses on an object or event, they will learn to identify the current moment as a dream. Hence, a dreamer controls the dream space like Leonardo's character in the Inception movie.

Inception and Insidious catapulted lucid dreaming and astral projection to the Hollywood forefront. In the 2011 Box Office, Hollywood studios released Source Code, Sucker Punch, Insidious, The Adjustment Bureau, and Final Destination 5. There is heavy demand for Insidious 2. Moviegoers want to see another astral projection and astral horror movie hit the box office.  Lucid dreaming, dreams, and metaphysical movies are following closely behind.

Lucid dreaming is a popular concept. Inception delved deep into dream projections the dreamers experienced in their joint lucid dreams. Lucid dreams are identified as dreams realized as fantasy. Meanwhile, a dreamer directs a dream while in the dreaming state. A Nightmare on Elm Street depicted the dream world as a lucid dreaming space. It is common for lucid dreaming to be portrayed as astral projection and the OBE.
