Making Metaphysical Movies and M. Night Shyamalan

Today I was thinking about metaphysical movies released in the past. Then, I realized that M. Night Shyamalan established his career based on making movies about metaphysics. Every movie he makes confronts a topic that is essentially metaphysical in relation to our human existence.

M. Night Shyamalan wrote and directed the following movies

  1. The Sixth Sense
  2. Unbreakable
  3. Signs
  4. The Village
  5. Lady in the Water
  6. The Happening
  7. The Last Airbender
What do all these movies have in common? They touch on metaphysical topics which are impossible in the physical realm. In an imaginary world, the concepts are quite possible. You can't rule out Aliens and the effects of the environment. Nonetheless, M. Night Shyamalan has made his career work due to making films about metaphysical content. Steven Spielberg and George Lucas also have enjoyed long-term success making films about metaphysics.

I knew nothing about metaphysics until I visited a physic this past December. I find it interesting that once another person mentions a topic, then you immediately begin to see it all around you. It's almost conveyed as the power of metaphysics. Metaphysics taps into the philosophical explanation of human existence. How were humans created? What supernatural beings are watching our world?

M. Night Shyamalan managed to remain successful because he makes movies about metaphysical concepts. James Wan and Leigh Whannell have the same kind of influence in making their movies on such topics. Final Destination movies are widely popular in result of metaphysical events that occur with no obvious explanations to determine their origin. M. Night Shyamalan has consistently developed movies all about metaphysics. Thanks for reading.
