Are recent earthquakes a coincidence?

Yesterday, an earthquake rocked Virginia. The 5.8 earthquake created panic on the East Coast. While earthquakes are most known in California, recent earthquakes are surfacing in regions unknown for seismic activity. Colorado also had a 5.3 earthquake. What are the meaning of these earthquakes?

The 2004 tsunami was triggered by a powerful 9.2 earthquake. Chile had a 9.0 earthquake that stopped the world's orbital axis for a fraction of a millisecond. Japan was hit with a super strong 9.0 earthquake that washed away cars, people, and homes into the Pacific Ocean. The 7.0 Haiti earthquake killed thousands of people.

Are these recent earthquakes a Knowing movie in disguise? Can earthquakes show signs to bigger events? The recent earthquakes are hopefully random events. I don't want to wake up in the morning and see a black encrusted sky due to the Yellowstone Super Volcano projecting ash into the atmosphere.

What I'm suggesting is that Mayan Calendar media is pointing to 2012 as the end of the world. However, I don't believe in end of the world predictions. But for the most part, the earthquakes and natural disasters are showing signs of something forthcoming. I have no clue what to think.

I hope the recent events are only a coincidence. End of the world movies such as 12 Monkeys, 2012, Knowing, Dawn of the Dead, Deep Impact, and I Am Legend are daunting themes. The end of the world will take place in the distant future when we are long gone. It is predicted the end of the world will come in the year 5,000.

Man can end mankind at any time. Nuclear weapons have the power to destroy the world thousands of times over again. I have feared nuclear destruction ever since I watched The Day After as a kid. Needless to say, the movie is traumatic. The recent earthquakes are frequent and strong. What is worse; the earthquakes are popping up in regions unknown for quakes.

The strange thing about these earthquakes are not none have occurred in California. There have been some minor earthquakes in California. Nonetheless, the earthquakes are minor compared to the major quakes. Are recent earthquakes a coincidence?
