According to Cinema Blend's interview, the producer of Insidious movies hinted there may be a third installment. However, James Wan is unlikely to return as director. Silent Hill 2 is due out in movie theaters in 2012

Silent Hill was a moderate success. The horror movie depicted the astral world long before the Insidious movie portrayed The Astral Hell this past spring. Silent Hill: Revelations 3D (also known as Silent Hill 2) is a good movie to watch in order to better understand the astral world or astral plane. Silent Hill 2 will star Sean Bean (Troy), Radha Mitchell (Man on Fire), and Carrie-Ann Moss (The Matrix movies).

The Silent Hill movie enters the astral world to show moviegoers the evil that resides in the astral plane. The subplanes of the astral plane convey The Astral Hell that we watched in the Insidious movie. The astral beings lurk around The Astral Hell to terrorize innocent human souls. These astral creatures chase after displaced astral bodies to feed off their energy, which enable them to remain in the subplanes.

Silent Hill 2 is a much anticipated astral horror movie with potential to bank on the success of the original Silent Hill movie as well as on the recent sleeper hit Insidious. Hollywood movies have delved into the astral worlds in horror movies such as A Nightmare on Elm Street, Shocker,  and The Lovely Bones. We don't see too many movies about astral projection to understand the foundation of the field.

Silent Hill 2 shows an alternative dimension to the old town. Whereas the town is known as Silent Hill, the afterlife somehow lures the main characters to this town to trap their souls. Silent Hill depicts The Astral Hell of the subplanes. In the first Silent Hill movie, the evil human spirits burned the policewoman on a stake. These trapped human spirits nonetheless are the epitome of evil.

I expect the Silent Hill movie to be extremely popular. Movies about the astral worlds, astral projection, and dreams attract eager moviegoers. There is no exact release date for the Silent HIll movie, though the horror movie is expected to be out in 2012. Silent Hill movie content will be made available as soon as additional information surfaces on the astral horror movie.

The Astral Being: Freddy Krueger of the Dream World

A Night on Elm Street hit movie theaters in 1984. This astral horror movie about the dream world terrified moviegoers. Teenager horror fans experienced recurring nightmares with Freddy Krueger. Vulnerable dreamers are helpless in the dream world. A Nightmare on Elm Street is the perfect astral film to explore the out-of-body experience (OBE), the dream world, the astral form, and an astral being.

The OBE is accurately portrayed in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Thus, the OBE is a mode of astral projection to which a person leaves their physical body through an astral form or their astral body. An astral traveler remains in a dream state, which is almost identical to lucid dreaming. Therefore, the astral form and astral being are perceived as the same entity. However, the two astral terms are misinterpreted as identical entities.

Because the physical and astral world are divided into dimensions, there is confusion between the two astral entities. An astral form is described as an astral body. Humans leave their physical body through an astral form. Nonetheless, an astral being is an astral entity that resides in the astral world or on the astral plane. These astral beings are either past human souls or evil beings and demons.

Insidious conveys astral beings as unsettled spirits craving human life again. Astral beings can possess humans through entering their physical bodies. The possession process is possible when a person develops fear of astral beings and demons. You must astral travel with a strong mind. Don't allow any astral being, including Freddy Krueger, to frighten you. An skilled astral traveler will notice the difference between an astral being and the astral form.

The astral form represents the human spirit. For example, Nancy astral projects out of her physical body to enter the dream world through her astral form. She moves about the dream world that resembles an alternate physical world. Freddy Krueger is an astral being with unlimited powers, controlling every aspect of the dream world. Freddy can empower astral beings to inject fear into dreamers entering the dream space. He can also take the shape of his victims.

The OBE and lucid dreaming are somewhat familiar. The two processes require a strong mind to induce the acts. An OBE is reached once the astral form is astral projected outside of the physical form. The astral form remains in vicinity, usually hovering above or around the physical form.

While in the OBE state, the astral form is free to travel along the astral plane. The dream world is portrayed as the astral plane or astral world. Freddy is depicted as an astral being with superpowers. He can create any dream world. Nancy learns to induce an OBE, knowing her intentions ahead of time. She shifts the power of the dream world away from Freddy.

A dreamer can gain control of the dream space through realizing the reality of their dream while in the dream state. Dreamers are accustomed to passive dreaming. Nevertheless, lucid dreaming empowers a dreamer to project the dream world in an assertive manner.

Nancy explores the dream world with her astral form. Her conscious mind guides the astral form across the dream space. She never allows Freddy to trap her astral form in the dream world. In one scene, Nancy watches her physical body and Johnny Depp's character sleep in the room. This scene shows the OBE in action while inside the dream world.

In a lucid dreaming state, a dreamer can encounter an astral being such as Freddy Krueger. Your astral travels can put you in direct contact with astral beings and demons. According to Webster (2009), a dreamer should not fear lucid dreaming and or astral travel. Fear is derived from newcomers losing control of their nightmares or coming in contact with astral beings in the astral hell of the subplanes.  For the most part, lucid dreaming enables a person to direct their dreams like movies (Webster, 2009). Astral travelers hold the power to transcend the astral plane while in their astral form.

In essence, the astral form and an astral being are two contrasting astral terms. The astral form represents the astral body inside a human body. On the opposing side, an astral being is an astral body that remains in the astral plane or astral world. An astral being does not have a physical body. The subplanes of the astral plane hold astral beings. A Nightmare on Elm Street conveys the astral form and astral being as two entities residing in alternate worlds such as the physical and dream world.

What is the difference between an OBE and Astral Projection?

Researchers studied the out of body experience, indicating in their substantial findings that 5 percent to 35 percent of the U.S. population have claimed to experience an OBE (Laberge & Levitan, 1991). Having an OBE is more common than most people presume them to be. The recent astral horror Insidious increased awareness about astral projection and the out of body experience associated with astral form leaving the physical body.

An OBE and astral projection are similar processes involving leaving the physical body through an astral form. According to Levitan & Laberge (1991), their OBE findings point to the high energy involved when "the human consciousness separating from the human body and traveling in a discorprorate form in the physical world" enable a person to move freely outside of their body through an astral form.

On the opposing side, astral projection is done through meditation, mind techniques, lucid dreaming, hypnotism, and using various methods. Webster (2009) shared that astral traveling the first time is an amazing process unlike another other. He recommends that new astral travelers are to remain in a close proximity to their physical body. Astral projection can take a person on many astral travels in the astral world. You can move into the subplanes to experience enlightenment; therefore, broadening your spiritual representation in your space.

We like think that astral projection and the OBE process as two peas in a pod. Out of body experiences can occur in an operating room, during an illness, in conjunction with a near death experience, and also as controlled state of being resulting from leaving the physical body via the astral form.

The OBE is portrayed in the astral horror A Nightmare on Elm Street movie. The main characters are capable of leaving their physical body to move about the dream space. However, Nancy (Heather Langenkamp) learns to induce an OBE to move on the astral plane. Webster (2009) describes the astral plane as "a parallel world on a higher vibrational level" (p. 214). Nancy transcended time and space to move about the astral plane in her home, though her physical form remained in a sleeping state.

Those of you familiar with Heather Langenkamp's past work, she also starred in Shocker. The astral horror Shocker is another Wes Craven movie about astral projection/astral travel. We see the serial killer moving in the physical world through an energy form. Some may suggest the serial killer is clearly an astral form capable of possessing any physical body.

Even so, this serial killer is none other than our favorite Assistant Director, Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi) in the X-Files television show. Surely enough, there are many astral projection moments in the past hit television show. Heather played a small role in Shocker. However, her A Nightmare on Elm Street roles mastered the OBE perfectly. We will always remember the out-of-body experience as a defining moment in horror movies.

Webster (2009) indicates that astral projection occurs when a person has "the ability to project or remove the astral body from the physical body, and use it to travel on the astral plane" (p. 215). Astral projection is merely a controlled act to astral project the astral body outside of the physical body. We tend to hear astral travel as another term that identifies traveling along the astral plane in the astral body. Astral project is another reference to astral projection, both imitating the actions of another like a doppelganger and or an astral double.

Astral projection and the OBE are similar as well as different in many ways. The two experiences are capable of helping a person to reach a mode of astral travel in the astral planes and in the subplanes. When an astral traveler reaches an advanced OBE and astral projection stage, then the subplanes represent another journey beyond the physical state of existence. Webster (2009) depicts the seven subplanes as what moviegoers experienced in Insidious:
  1. The Astral Cemetery
  2. The Astral Shell
  3. The Astral Hell
  4. Sleep Regions
  5. The Intellectual Plane
  6. The Heroic Plane
  7. The Mystical Plane (p. 214).
We can identify the subplanes as the "Further" or the layers form the astral plane. An astral traveler can reach the subplanes through astral projection and astral travel. Insidious portrays The Astral Hell, a dark evil astral plane populated with astral beings. The astral being is an evil being that has committed many sins, mostly resulting in killing, raping, and harming people while in the physical world.

The next time you induce an OBE or astral project, pay attention the feeling of both actions. Astral projection can take you on astral travels through time and space. An OBE also enables a person to move about the astral plane in their astral body. Both experiences are rather interesting; however, structured research studies mostly cover the OBE, lucid dreaming and sleep paralysis as possible in the physical world. If you experience sleep paralysis, then you are close to reaching an OBE or taking your travels up a notch to astral project to the astral plane.

Astral Horror and Metaphysics

Astral horror movies will soon be sprouting up like bean sprouts. Insidious took a past concept to astral project astral horror into the forefront. What past astral horror movies employ metaphysics?

A Nightmare on Elm Street is an astral horror movie that portrays the dream world beyond reality, thus, accurately depicting metaphysics. Shocker is another astral horror movie that astral projects a serial killer through the various astral worlds through energy sources.  Silent Hill and Constantine represent astral horror movies about metaphysics.

Investigating further into astral horror movies, there are very few that resemble Insidious. Astral projection is rarely mentioned in Hollywood movies. Combining astral horror movies along with metaphysics can make for an entertaining movie experience, especially with 3D creating an an out of this world event.

Imagine watching astral beings pressing up against your eyelids. What about astral entities jumping out of the movie screen? Constantine conveyed the evil astral world with astral demons populating an post-apocalyptic Los Angeles.

Reeves's character astral projects into the astral world to investigate whether a young girl committed suicide. The astral demons are almost similar to the astral beings that populate the astral world in Insidious. These astral horror movies latch onto the metaphysics world.

We can suggest that The Sixth Sense and Stir of Echoes are astral horror movies about metaphysics. Metaphysics confront the world beyond physical belief. The astral entities call out to the children to help communicate their murders to family members.

Astral horror and metaphysics are tough acts to follow in the horror world. One has to challenge astral characters through their use of evil acts such as possession, rituals, and astral jumping into various human bodies to occupy their mind. Thanks for reading.

What are metaphysical movies?

Metaphysical movies cover concepts beyond physical. The "meta" refers to beyond. Physical identifies metaphysics, the study of philosophy of the unexplained.

Whenever you hear anything regarding metaphysical movies or metaphysics in movies, such concepts usually deal with astral projection, astral travel, Aliens, astral world, powers, afterlife, senses, mind travel, spirituality, healing, magic and topics concerned with beyong the physical world.

Examples of Metaphysical Movies:
  • I Am Number Four
  • The Sixth Sense
  • Matrix Movies
  • Source Code
  • Insidious
  • Ghost
  • I Am Legend
  • Dawn of the Dead
  • 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later
  • 12 Monkeys
Most movies beyond the explained are classified as metaphysical movies. Look for metaphysical movies to capture the box office weekend.

80's Astral Horror and OBE - A Nightmare on Elm Street

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

Astral projection is conveyed as a theme in A Nightmare on Elm Street. Nonetheless, OBE is portrayed as an astral projection technique to astral project sleeping characters into Freddy's astral dream world. As a child, Freddy scared the crap of me. The original A Nightmare on Elm Street is an eerie astral horror movie with a disturbing dream concept.

In A Nightmare on Elm Street, any character who falls asleep will die in the dream world. Freddy's dream worlds are similar to Insidious' astral worlds. Astral projection is employed in both movies to defeat the evil antagonist. Nancy astral projects into the dream world to destroy Freddy, but she fails to realize that an astral being will not die without resolving the conflict which made them evil.

Freddy is evil because neighborhood parents burned him to death. Hence, Freddy took his vengeance out on the offspring. Every child and family member related to the parents were exposed to the dangers of the dream world. You'll notice that Nancy has an out-of-body-experience (OBE), enabling her to astral project into the dream world. A Nightmare on Elm Street is one of the rare astral horror movies to use the astral projection technique as a mode of travel from one world into the next.

Wes Craven also conveyed astral travel in his Shocker movie. When you look back, 80's astral horror movies are the perfect genre to demonstrate astral projection. In essence, OBE is portrayed in both A Night on Elm Street and in Insidious. Do you like astral horror? I'm confident Hollywood will release more astral films in the near future. Thanks for reading.

Astral Travel and 80's Astral Horror - Wes Craven's Shocker

Wes Craven's Shocker is about a serial killer who is sent to the electric chair to die. In exchange for his soul, the devil makes it possible for the serial killer to return back as a energy form to possess humans. The Shocker is a classic astral horror movie that conveys an astral being traveling in the physical world. I remember watching The Shocker in 1989. While Craven's The Shocker seemed daunting at the time, the astral horror concept was rather clever.

The main character is a high school kid who has astral dreams about a serial killer. His vivid dreams about the serial killer murdering various people within the town allow the police to apprehend the culprit. Once the serial killer is put to death for his gruesome crimes, his predetermined deal with the devil enables him to travel through the physical world as an energy form.

The Shocker paves the way for Fallen, which is another film that employs the astral body jump concept. A serial killer who has the ability to possess any physical body holds the most evil power imaginable in the physical world. An astral being that possesses human beings can carry out the devil's evil deeds.

The Shocker is an astral horror classic from the late 80's. Watch the movie to analyze metaphysics and astral horror content. Shocker is essentially an astral travel movie which uses electricity to astral project the main protagonist and antagonist. The astral worlds within the energy world convey astral projection in motion. Thanks for reading.

80's Film about Astral Projection

Astral projection in movies is a hot topic. One classic horror film uses astral projection. A Nightmare on Elm Street feature the astral projection/out-body-experience concept.

In A Nightmare on Elm Street, Nancy usually astral projects into Freddie's astral world. Further, her astral body watches her physical body sleep in a lucid dream state. The astral projection concept in the horror film is known as an out-of-body-experience. A character enters the astral world/astral plane through their dreams. Astral projection is essentially an out-of-body-experience.

In the 80's horror movie, the majority of the characters that astral project through their dreams die in the astral world. The characters have little power in the astral world other than realizing their state of being in the dream world - lucid dreaming. Once reality of the dream world is realized, the characters are vulnerable to Freddie's powers.

You can tell the difference between the astral world and the physical world. In an allegorical sense, the red door symbolizes the evil in the physical world. The vibrant red door warns the audience of events to come. Nonetheless, the dull and lackluster colors in the astral world demonstrate the dream horror overpowering the victims' minds.

In A Nightmare on Elm Street, astral projection is a major concept. Even though astral projection is never directly mentioned, the notion of astral travel enables a character to unwillingly enter the astral world/astral plane through their dreams. Astral projection in A Nightmare on Elm Street is encoded as an out-of-body-experience (OBE). Astral projection and astral dreams in this 80's horror film master astral projection.

What is an Out-of-Body-Experience?

An out-of-body-experience is also known as OOBE or OBE. Astral projection is a process in which an astral body separates from the physical body. An out-of-body-experience is a form of astral travel.

An OOBE or OBE enables a personal to travel freely in the astral plane or astral world. It is believed the astral body occupies the physical body as a lifeforce. Once a person dies, the lifeforce is said to leave the physical body through the middle of the forehead.

The two Hollywood movies to have used out-of-body-experiences extremely well are the current astral horror movie Insidious and the popular 1980's A Nightmare on Elm Street horror movies. Ashton Kutcher's Butterfly Effect movie also depicts an out-of-body-experience. Astral projection and an out-of-body-experience have an ancient history behind their practices.

A person who knowingly engages in astral projection usually knows they're temporarily leaving their physical body. From what I've read on astral projection, there is no danger in leaving the physical body.

Nevertheless, some Christians believe a physical body can be possessed once the astral body detaches. Any person can be possessed at any moment in time without warning. An out-of-body-experience can also occur in dreams, also known as lucid dreams. Once a person questions the reality of a dream, they can control the dream world like the movie Inception.

Astral projection and out-of-body-experience both require leaving the physical body through the astral body to astral project into the astral world. Thanks for reading.

What type of Astral Travel Films do you want?

Astral Projection in Insidious

There are very few astral travel films. Insidious is a stand-alone film about astral projection. What type of astral travel film do you want to see in the near future?

Insidious sparked a huge astral projection fan following. Many web surfers are searching for astral projection, astral travel, astral worlds, metaphysics, and metaphysical content. Out-of-body-experiences are common techniques employed in films such as in A Nightmare on Elm Street astral horror movies and even in Matrix films.

12 Monkeys captures the essence of astral time travel. Bruce Willis is sent back into time to investigate the person responsible for releasing a killer virus that wipes out 99% of the world's population. While Bruce's character never physically leaves the physical world, his astral form transcends the element of astral time travel to operate in a past world which the virus already destroyed. Astral time travel is essentially another form of astral travel.

Source Code also uses the same concept, but instead mind projection astral projects the Jake's character into the mind of another deceased train passenger. Source code shows that one person is capable of changing physical events through influencing astral worlds. Astral time travel and astral projection/mind projection are interesting concepts.

In a way, Sucker Punch conveys the depiction of astral worlds through the mind of Emily Browning's character. Whereas, Emily never physically leaves the asylum, her mind is able to escape the horrors of physical reality through astral projecting into the astral worlds. In the various astral worlds, she defeats evil forces to deliver her plan to fruition. Sucker Punch explores astral projection and the astral worlds.

The 2011 Box Office is moving toward the metaphysics and astral concepts. I find astral travel/astral projection films to be rather interesting. What type of astral films would you like? Thanks for reading. .

Astral Projection in Upcoming End of the World movies

2012 is quickly approaching. End of the World movies will populate the box office in 2012. Astral projection has emerged as an intriguing film concept. Insidious conveyed astral projection to explore the The Astral Hell of the astral plane. We haven't seen this much excitement for astral projection and an out-of-body-experience (OBE) since A Night on Elm Street terrorized horror fans.

Astral projection in end of the world movies explore the astral worlds, conveying what is possible beyond the physical world. Metaphysical movies capture the illusion of the unexplained. Science disapproves of U.F.O., Alien life, astral projection, out-of-body experiences and various dreams. An OBE is therefore mistaken as sleep paralysis. Astral projection in upcoming end of the world movies would be an interesting concept to explore.

Astral projection is currently a popular concept. We will likely see astral horror movies take off soon. Insidious injected excitement back into Hollywood horror movies, resurrecting the out-of-body experience that enabled A Nightmare on Elm Street to capture the essence of astral horror. Astral projection in end of the world movies will enhance the movie experience. Thanks for reading.

Insidious director James Wan & Insidious screenwriter Leigh Whannell discuss Astral Projection in Insidious

Astral projection is nevertheless a concept that is not formally recognized in movies. With the help of Paranormal's producers, James Wan (director) and Leigh Whannell (screenwriter/actor) took a gamble on their $1.5 million production budget to make Insidious into an astral projection/possession movie. The IFC recently interviewed the star tandem, asking the popular astral projection question that many moviegoers are drawn to right now.

James and Leigh introduced gruesome horror movies with the Saw series and Dead Silence. In Insidious, the two filmmakers captured the allure of astral horror to spook the audience. There were no gory death scenes, only evil spirits and a red-faced demon took this horror movie to a new level. We're familiar with the possession concept in horror movies. Astral projection upped the ante to induce fear through astral travel.

Can a person become possessed once they leave their physical body? The astral form represents the life force which occupies the physical body. In Insidious, the astral horror movie conveys that leaving the physical body to astral project to astral worlds beyond the physical world exposes the physical body to possession. Nonetheless, astral projection/possession danger is more so a Christian belief. To the majority of astral projection backers, astral travel is as safe as having a dream.

James and Leigh employed a high concept to build suspense and to influence moviegoers to analyze the underlying themes within the astral horror film. Insidious serves as the catalyst to astral projection in movies. Whereas A Night on Elm Street commonly portrayed out-of-body-experiences, the main theme in the horror movies are the dreams. Astral projection and possession hold the spine of the astral horror film together.

James and Leigh were limited to shooting locations, mainly because the film budget only provided $1.5 million. In my opinion, the two leading stars are worth 5 times that amount. Essentially, the astral horror film conveyed the danger of astral projection, determining that temporarily removing the astral being could open the physical body up to possession. Evil spirits crave to live again; they want a second chance. Demons seek to possess a vulnerable human to carry out the devil's evil deeds.

Insidious is the astral horror movie that will open the door to future astral projection movies. There is relevant demand for astral projection movies. Insidious sends chills down your spine. The old woman character symbolizes the unsettled evil that resides in the astral worlds surrounding the physical world. Metaphysical movies such as Insidious have sparked discussions dissecting its astral projection concept. In any case, the two horror masters, James and Leigh, struck a cord with astral projection.

If you want to read IFC's interview of the two stars responsible for Insidious, visit the following link below. Astral projection in Insidious is a popular discussion in astral horror. Thanks for reading.
